What can I expect?
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to fill out the new client intake intake forms. These will help me understand how you are feeling and what your goals are for the massage treatment session. The Massage Therapist leaves the room and you will undress to your level of comfort. All parts of your body except the area being worked on will be securely covered under sheets and a blanket at all times. Most people prefer to not wear clothes or just wear underwear while receiving the massage. At the end of the massage session, you will be able to relax for a few moments before gently rising and dressing. Undressing is not mandatory to receive excellent treatment benefits, however healing massage lotion/oils can be used if working directly on the skin. Your comfort and modesty are protected at all times.
What are Muscle Knots?
Knots are muscle fibers that have become adhered together. This can happen for various reasons such as microscopic tearing, over-use, and dehydration. Massage helps break down scar tissue, stretch out muscle fibers, and ultimately bring fluid flow back to that area.
How can I prepare for my massage?
For every one's comfort, please be clean and hydrated. Arriving a few minutes early will give you a chance to relax and not feel rushed.
How often should I get a massage?
This varies from person to person. Many of my clients receive massage once a week or twice a month, depending on their circumstances and needs. On average most of my clients schedule for regular massage treatments for optimum health benefits.
